🎓 Nursing Success NCLEX Voucher Program
Your next step toward nursing licensure with support from ONWard.
You’ve worked hard to prepare for your nursing career. The Mississippi Board of Nursing Office of Nursing Workforce (ONWard) is helping eligible Mississippi nursing graduates move forward by offering a limited number of vouchers covering the current $200 NCLEX examination fee.
✅ Available vouchers: 146 NCLEX-RN and 100 NCLEX-PN 📅 Selection date: October 16, 2026
🩺 Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a Mississippi resident and a first-time NCLEX test-taker.
- Be a graduate of an approved or accredited Mississippi nursing program.
- Complete the Application for Licensure by Examination and pay all required licensure application fees through Gateway by October 12, 2026.
- Ensure an official transcript is submitted to the Board of Nursing after the degree is conferred.
- Complete Pearson VUE NCLEX registration by January 31, 2027, using the awarded voucher code.
⚠️ Before You Pay for the NCLEX
Apply for the voucher and wait for your award notification and code before paying Pearson VUE. ONWard cannot reimburse examination fees paid before a voucher code is received. Required licensure application fees must still be paid through Gateway.
The NCLEX examination fee will increase to $350 on February 1, 2027. Completing registration by January 31,2026 helps selected applicants avoid additional out-of-pocket costs related to the increase.
