Schools of Nursing Scholarship Program - Final Report FY2025

During FY2025, the Office of Nursing Workforce distributed $860,000.00 in funding to 25 nursing schools statewide.

 


 

Allocation of Funding by Participant’s Discipline of Study

 

2025 discipline
  • The donut chart breaks down the funding allocation by the participant’s discipline of study within a sample size of 1,204 individuals.
    • Registered Nurses (RN): The largest group, making up 69% of the sample with 830 individuals.
    • Practical Nurses (LPN): The second largest group, comprising 25% of the sample, with 302 individuals.
    • Advanced Degree Nurses (MSN, APRN): The smallest group, representing 6% of the sample, with 72 individuals.

 


 

Key Performance Indicator: Student Progress

 

2025 progress

  • The data show that out of a total of 1,204 students, 950 (79%) are licensed, while 254 (21%) are not licensed. This indicates that a large majority of the participants have successfully obtained their professional licensure.
  • The 21% without a license may represent students who are still in training, awaiting exam results, or otherwise not yet eligible for licensure.
