Restoration of License

A nurse may apply to the Board for restoration of his/her license or privilege to practice one year after that nurse's license or privilege to practice has been revoked or suspended.  The denial of an application to renew an existing license is treated in all respects as a revocation. Restoration applications are heard before a three-member hearing panel of the Board. The hearing panel, in its discretion, may restore the nurse's license or privilege to practice, or it may deny the restoration application. A nurse whose restoration application is denied may appeal the hearing panel's decision to the Full Membership of the Board in accordance with Mississippi Code Annotated 73-15-31(9).
